Thank you to everyone who has sponsored my marathon efforts thus far, after 3 months and over 400 kilometres of training it was tough to see all races postponed until later this year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ll now be winding down training until the summer and completing the Brighton marathon in September. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you to everyone who’s sponsored me, Just Giving send payment through to charities weekly so @prostatecanceruk can still benefit from the donations now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today was a great way to round off training temporarily with a PB in the Hampton Court half marathon, smashing the sub 1 hour 40 minute target by an entire second! 🤙 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Looking forward to giving the feet a rest for now, recharging and getting ready to hassle for more sponsorship in the summer….. ✌️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Running #Marathon #Runner #Charity #ProstateCancerUK #Run #Race #Brighton #BrightonMarathon #Brighton2020 #Charity #ProstateCancerUK

Lost 3 stone and ran 13.1 miles! 🏃‍♂️ Cue lengthy worthy update: As many close f&f know I’ve had some medical challenges over the past few months, minute compared to what some go through but stressful all the same. So specialists advised giving up booze, eating proper food and exercising. I started running and have quickly gone from frequently stopping to walk on the 1mile work route to never missing the @chelmsfordparkrun 5k in 2020. And now today completing my first ever chip timed event, the @palacehalfmarathon in 1hr52min. Sticking to it has made progression quick but the physiological and mental benefits are what I value most. Everyone is lovely at the events but the main reason I run is to clear the brain fog on my terms. I don’t have to wait for a team or venue as I have done with sports over the years as can go out anytime I want and explore and clear my head. I ran today for @parkinsons.uk and when I had to dig deep to get to the finish line with jelly legs I thought of those I knew affected by the disease and what they went through was a lot harder. I know the money raised will help others. The other picture here is me when I had over 25% body fat (technically obese) I’m now down to 17% and healthy in every measurement. I’m so motivated and have signed up for the @richmondrunfest marathon later this year. It’ll be a big jump but I’m determined and want to thank everyone for their support. Especially @laura.lyman my run widow! #beforeandafter
