PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS STRICTLY NO PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE PALACE ITSELF FOR THIS EVENT (See below for further travel information)

EVENT VILLAGE OPEN @ 7:15AM

RACE NUMBERS

All entries will be sent race packs in the post. If you DO NOT receive your pack by the end of the day on Thursday 12th March please get in touch and let us know at [email protected]. There will be a £5 charge for lost chips payable on the day that will go to the event charity.

*If you are coming from outside of the UK, you will collect your race pack on the day*

Please be sure to check your race pack contains your race number with detachable baggage label, race information leaflet and chip (as pictured below).

Those who need to collect your race pack on the day, please head to the information tent in the event village. To collect your race pack, you need to make your way to the information desk between 7.15-8.45am. It will take around 10 minutes to collect number and drop your bag off. The earlier you get there, the more efficient we will be on the day.

All runners who receive a race pack in the post will have been allocated a wave. Please check which wave you are in on the entry list HERE

The waves will have staggered start times as follows:
Wave 1 – 9am
Wave 2 – 9:04am
Wave 3 – 9:08am
Wave 4 – 9:12am
Wave 5 – 9:16am
Wave 6 – 9:20am

IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU REMAIN IN THE WAVE YOU HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED AS THIS HELPS TO REDUCE CONGESTION ON THE COURSE AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE RACE.

You only need one number attached to the front of your shirt. If you have your own pins then that would be great, but we will have spares at the information tent if needed. Your timing chip will also be in the envelope, this needs to be attached to your shoe as per the instructions on the back of the chip. Please make sure you keep your number and chip on at all times during the race. At the finish you can dispose of your chip (we do not need to collect them back).

When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!

The Course

The race does not finish where it starts. The start is on the main driveway of Hampton Court Palace, whereas the finish is located in the Hampton Court Palace Gardens, along with the event village.

The course is on pavements, tow paths and grass. We will be running inside Home Park for the final section of the course, which will be a unique experience for many, with the finish inside the Hampton Court Palace gardens.

There will be yellow signs marking each mile along the course and along with arrows to direct you along the way there will be plenty of marshals to keep you going all the way to the finish. As the race route incorporates public paths we strongly advise against wearing headphones to ensure that you are alert to all marshal instructions throughout the race.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a strict 3 hour cut off time, anyone yet to pass the 12 mile marker by this time will be picked up by the sweep vehicle.

Getting to the Race

The post code for the venue is KT8 9AU, it’s the Palace and you can’t miss it!

We strongly recommend using public transport to get to the event. All stations appear to be running a full service on Sunday. The closest mainline station is Hampton Court which is a short walk over the bridge from the Palace. Kingston and Hampton Wick train stations are within walking distance (30 minute walk) from the Palace (please check Google Maps and plan your walk).

If you are travelling to the race via public transport please remember to check your journey before you leave on TFL.

There is NO parking at the Palace however there are numerous public car parks in the surrounding area, including Bushy Park and Hampton Court Station. We advise referring to Parkopedia for local parking HERE

More details on how to get there can be found HERE.

The Essentials

REFRESHMENTS
There will be 3 water stations along the course at miles 3, 7, and 11 as well as at the finish line where you can collect your Henry VIII medal, t-shirt and goodie bag.
